EXPERTISE
Russell Wong’s practice focuses on intellectual
property litigation, intellectual property licensing/opinions and
general intellectual property counseling, including patent portfolio
strategy and development. Mr. Wong combines his past experiences as
chief IP counsel of a Fortune 50 company
with his law firm experience at a nationally recognized intellectual
property law firm to provide his clients with business-focused legal
advice. Mr. Wong represents a wide range of clients, from small software
start-ups to large multinational corporations across numerous
industries, from information technology to chemical processes. Mr.
Wong’s extensive licensing experience includes large patent
portfolio cross-licenses, agreements supporting a multi-hundred
million dollar chemical plant project (technology rights, basic
engineering, service, catalyst supply), software licensing agreements
(master license, support and maintenance),
joint development and contracts with government agencies.
Mr. Wong is experienced
with a range of technologies. He has litigation experience in areas
including video technology, notebook computer technology, chemical
separations processes, distillation trays, catalysts and oilfield
equipment. Mr. Wong has served as an arbitrator in a patent lawsuit.
Mr. Wong has extensive experience in the nanotechnology area. He served as General Counsel to Carbon Nanotechnologies, Inc. from 2001 until its merger in 2007 with Unidym, Inc.
Mr. Wong currently serves as Counsel to Ensysce Biosciences, Inc., which is focused on the use of fullerene carbon nanotubes for novel therapeutic applications in the area of cancer treatment. |
